Salutation

I went looking for a creative endeavor, and built a room, decorated by my writing and pictures.

Here is the result. Welcome to The Rose Room, so named in order to honor/evoke the experience of a comforting lifelong recurring dream. (Further explanation has been tacked up elsewhere in the room.)

The design reflects my eclectic spirit. The ‘Different Perspectives’ were created to offer alternate viewpoints of the space - allowing you to sit ‘At the Desk,’ lay ‘On the Bed’ or venture ‘Inside the Closet.’ Linear folks can view recent postings one by one, too.

You may choose to drop your calling card - a poem called ‘Encounter’ (found ‘On the Bed’) allows you to do so. I look forward to seeing what visitors leave behind. Understand, though, I can’t keep tokens in the room that do not blend with the overall structure of the design. So – good karma only, please.

The Rose Room is meant to be an experience – not a collection of great works, not a museum of distant art pieces. This is my place; I want you to like it. Visit as often as you wish – the decorations, as 'living' works, tend to change their form.

Above all else, feel free to share this experience with someone else.

And, finally, in the spirit of artistic respect - if you like something you find in The Rose Room and wish to use it as your own decoration, give credit where credit is due. Everything here belongs to acr, the curator of theroseroom.net. Theft is theft is not appreciated, and even the web leaves a trail.

So – welcome again, and thank you for visiting.
